I told my cat off yesterday for something he had done wrong and then he wouldnt even acknowledge me. I kept trying and trying to get him to talk to me (cue loads of treats and being combed) and he was still a bit off with me.

My boyfriend pointed out that he was the one who had been naughty but I was the one trying to make it up to him.

Cats are so manipulative!!! You just need to wait until he decides that you are worthy of his attention again (usually coincides with hunger)

He will come round they always do. If your not shouting at him all the time then he will come back grovelling. If you make a habit of shouting at him he may not want to know you again but i doubt it. I had a cat that was really naughty, she used to wait for me to come in my bedroom and scratch my legs to bits so i had to shout in order for her to know that its not acceptable she hated me for it and loved my partner. She wouldn't come for cuddles or anything. She got killed about a month ago in a road accident and i was and stll am really upset. I know she loved me but just didn't like been shouted at. Tickle his belly and give him some tuna he will be your best mate all over again

Most cats will forgive you very shortly. Just keep playing with your animal and give it a treat to help the transition. Everything will be fine. Your cat loves you no matter what.

My cat is normally like that, but at the moment our cat flap is broken. She can get out, but can't get back in. It happened twice that we only noticed her when she was soaked. (Well, in fact she woke us up in the middle of the night.) It's amazing, but she IS grateful now & wants more cuddles than in the last 2 years together! ;)

(Just in case you don't want to accidentally block your cat flap, you could try cheese. Works every time for my cat as well as for my son.)

Shower him with attention, love,"QUICKLY". My husband is a yeller, talks loud, and yells. otherwise, a good loving man. But my cat, will not go near him"unless he has chicken for him" He has tried everything to get that cat to like him, and he won"t. My advice, stop yelling, or that cat will stop coming to you, liking you. etc. besides you can't discipline a cat. Its not a dog! Cats do as they please. But if your cat does something you would like to stop it from. Get a squirt gun. And make sure your cat does not know its coming from you. Cats don't like water. and it does not hurt them. but surprised, he will be. this just might stop his bad habits.

put down a few treats and let him know who is giving them to him. try not to shout so much. A gentle jet of water is all thats needed. A few traets and fusses and he'll love you forever.

Hiya, Oh are you in bad books, cat's are so funny they sulk just like we do. Give him little treats and lots of tickles. Mind you cat's are cat's and will only do what they want to do and when they want to do it, Good Luck with him.

Ignore him and sit on the floor with a really interesting newspaper flat on the floor. Within minutes he'll be sat just where you want to read, giving you snotty looks.
