This sounds like a possible case of redirected aggression: it usually occurs when something happens that frightens or upsets one or both cats, then they start reacting to each other's upset states with aggression. Have you had any strange animals coming around, either visiting in your home, or coming around outside and looking in the windows or doors? Spray a cat repellant product around the outside of your house to discourage strays or neighborhood cats from coming around your house.

To help your cats to get along again, you'll need to separate them from each other for a few days to give them a chance to calm down & feel safe again, and then slowly reintroduce them as though they were new to each other. A Feliway comfort zone plug-in from the vet or pet store can help to calm your cats and reduce their stress levels.

Here's an article that explains redirected aggression, and the steps you'll want to take to reintroduce your cats. http://www.sniksnak.com/cathealth/aggression3.html

Hope this helps!

Edit: rmfly's suggestion to have the vet check the cats out is a good idea, too - health problems can cause behavior problems.

Have them checked by the vet. When cats that used to get along suddenly change, one of them may be sick. One of my cats was very ill but looking at her she seemed fine. I couldn't figure out why the others were actually hunting her down to beat up on her. She of course came to me for protection but I never clued in on the idea that she might be sick. I took her to the vet for an unrelated matter and he told me how sick she really was. He also said it was the reason that the others were always after her. I had her treated for the sickness, got her better and now the house is back to its old happy self.

no, you shouldn't do anything
these animals though they are little, they are adults
if they are mad on each other let them resolve their differencies
but you should bring them together in front of you and explain them that whatever problem they have they should resolvite it outside your house cause you won't tolerate noise
cats are very perceptive and they will understand
