ive run anti virus,deleted temp files and cookies run registry scan.ive changed some internet settings cud sum1 tell me wat the settings should be, ive also stopped some programs from starting on start-up,have i stopped some programs ishouldn"t have?

Do you have windows or your firewall running.Then try to stop it from checking net.Other problems can be due to solw spped of your ISP or modem problem.Try out the modem of your some friend

I'm no expert, but my husband said mainly two things will slow your computer down: Your internet provider (everyone is slow who uses who you use), and the other is too many windows are open at once. My sis lives in a small town & I don't know who she uses, but she can tell her computer to go to the internet, then go fix dinner & eat, and it still may not be up yet! Hope yours is not that bad!
