Firstly, you will need to remove your original player. Dependant on the make and model, you will need manufacturers keys to remove it. (My partners car is a Rover 200, and we used a wire coat hanger, which we cut into 2 seperate pieces, and bent them into the shape of a 'U', inserted them into the key holes).
From then on, it's quite simple, disconnect the wires from the back (These will be 2 wire blocks, and the aerial wire). Connect the wiring blocks to the new stereo, then connect the aerial cable (You may need an aerial connector, which you can buy from Halfords/Ripspeed for about £4).
Slot the new stereo unit in until it clicks into place, then fit the click on surround. Attatch your stereo's face panel (if applicable), and your all done.
Should you experience any problems, try looking at www.haynes.com, this may help.
