OK big problem and many things to try. First I recommend getting a urine sample. This is not easy, call your vet for directions on how to do that. The urine sample is the most important thing to do and you must do this first. A cat will associate any pain they feel when going potty to the litter pan itself. This makes them not want to return to it for fear of pain. Urinary tract infections and stones are very very common in neutered male Kitty's. Is your cat neutered? Cats will mark with urine if they are not neutered as a territory thing. Cats hate dirty litter boxes, is yours clean? Do you have multiple cats? you need one litter box per cat plus one extra..They can not all be together or next to each other. Is there a new stress in your house? A stress for a cat can be as simple as moving furniture.Have you brought home a new person or animal lately?
A product that may work if there is not underlying illness as called feliway. It is a synthetic cat pheromone that has a calming effect on cats and if used correctly also sends a signal to cats not to mark with urine in areas where the product is used. You can find feliway by contacting your vet or just look it up on line. The best thing to do is call your vet and get started with the urine sample. If you can not collect it at home they can do it for you.

An air rifle normally suffices, depending on range and angle a telescopic sight may be helpful. For larger or persistent cats an automatic air or normal assualt rifle is better.

In fairness getting your own cat may be more practical, or from pet shops you can get repellant sprays which work on sofas and stuff, might work on doors.
