It is dodgy territory for the girl to be so young! a couple of years and she will be a completely differant person..I was 20 when I met my husband he was 29, and we have been together for 14 years, and there is a 10 year age gap between my parents so ..I believe age is not a barrier to a succesful relationship as long as both partys are mature enough to handle it...as I said 17 is a bit young.
She has a lot of growing up to do in the next couple of years even though she would never realise it!!

In some states it rather is statutory rape, and in any state that's a guy pushing 30 taking good thing about a female extra effective than ten years his junior. it rather is comprehensible that a teenage female is flattered with the help of interest from an person male and is probable too naive to realize that the possibilities are a guy that age going after a female her age is the two so immature he's a foul mate, or he's a few style of creep.

Don't know where some of the people who have answered are from but its legal in the UK when she's 16 so i think its ok. I went out with a 31 year old when i was 18 and it didn't last because we were too different but it was fun for a while.

Usually an age gap can work but in this case with the girl only being 17 I think it is too much. A girl of that age needs to be out with her mates, nightclubbing, shopping etc without having to worry about a guy who perhaps already has baggage with him. Good luck if it is you.

Its fine if theyre both on a simular wave lengthsHe,ll have to be slightly immature and she,ll have to be mature.
It takes all sorts though.
He would have to take things slow bearing in mind shes only young!
Could possibly work but think there could be more chance of heartache for her!!

At this stage it may seem like fun and be enjoyable, as long as they don't have sex until the girl's 18, but later on as they both get older the 11-year age gap will be much, much more obvious and frustrating to both.

I Had a 12 yr gap betwwen me and my bf at 17. It lasted for 3yrs. He was very jealous though. Be careful.

In the UK, as she has turned 16 there is no reason why you can not have a full adult relationship. Its is NOT illegal have sexual intercourse with her as long as she is a willing participant. As far as your question goes there are a million and one reasons why relationships don't work, age is but one of them.

It's illegal for one thing. This guy should have better judgement. It's HIM that could be charged with child endangerment and statutory rape. They both should know better. Wait till she's 18.
