I have a lump on the roof of my mouth in the back, its sore to touch and when i swallow. My friend that has had shingles said that this matches up to one of her symptoms, but when i looked online I can't find anythign like that. What is this lump? Should I be worried?

use salt water to clean your mouth....DO not use mouth wash..the lump will be extremely painful if you do. It will go away in a week or two.

Do not rely on the people here to diagnose you. Obviously it concerns you enough to post here, so why not just call your doctor? If the doctor feels it is a concern, he will make an appointment to see you.
