Here in Michigan the Poly isn't administered. If you do submit to a poly the questions will all be asked before they even hook you up. Once you understand the questions they then ask you baseline questions to match the possibly deceptive questions against. The questions on this will be vauge like "Have you ever committed a felony?"
The Psych is a written test to check your personality and there are several different types. The questions can vary from "Do you think people are out to hurt you?" to "What is your favorite color?"
The shrink will have you take about a 600 question test that will take several hours. Once you are done they scan-tron the test and pull the results. The shrink then talks with you and asks additional questions about your answers.
Pretty harmless.

take the test and find out since they all vary. sounds like you might be a little nervous - somethig to hide?
