it's ur internet service provider, i have the same problem! my cable internet does it so much that i feel as though i'm running dial up or something! u also might have some spyware thats taking away ur bandwidth, run a scan with (free) spybot and also there is a free software on downloads.com called Advanced Windows Care2 Personal Edition, run this thing and I swear to u that everything that can go faster on ur pc, will go faster! I run it about every three days or so! I love it! It's also free, the free where u don't pay anything that is!

Try going to Tools at the top of your window then go down to Internet Options then select the Delete Cookies button under Temporary Internet Files. If you do this regularly it should speed it up a little. It works for me anyway.

from this rookie's point of view, you might want to check the compatibility of the programs/applications/drivers. Before you do that, check your disc drive and see if you left one in there. Sounds silly, but it has happened to me and actually made me laugh at how frustrating the previous two hours had been! Good luck.

it depends what browser you are using. and most importantly what addons you are using. you can try to turn off your browser addons and then try. if it works then it means that some addons is doing some trouble. you can safely remove that plug-in.
also you can try some other browser like firefox to check it has same problem or not.
enjoy!!!

We all get that. If yours is really slow, perhaps you could do with a memory upgrade.
