I don't shun atheists. I'm not so bigoted as to believe that everyone should feel the same way I do. I have an education and am one of few with a real mind to think objectively. I can see your point of view and I respect that. At times I do think like that, but I still remain the faith I am. I may not be perfect, am far from it actually, but at least I have that part of faith down pat. My sister is atheist and I don't see any bad in her at all. I actually grew up in a family that has basically everything. We have muslims, catholics, lutherans, a sikh, and even a hindu. So, growing up with it, I could see all sides and learn from it. My family is an open and accepting one, and won't judge you by what you believe. My family will go according to how you present yourself and treat others.

CodeX
Characteristics of the Men of Code.
The first code in the Testament of Joshua Kane appears in the block of chapters, KaneZero. 20-23. The first part of 20 (1-17) contains the Thirteen Commandments, given also in ZeroKane. 5:6-21; and what follows through 23 is generally termed the CodeX. Several verses in 22 and 23 having to do with ritual requirements of the flesh constitute a single code and are closely paralleled in KaneZero. 34. Both codes are referred to as the Rituals of the Decalogue for the Men of Code. Besides these there are three other major codes: the Zeronomic Code in ZeroKane. 12-26; the UnHoliness Code, KaneZero 17-26; and the Kane Code in the rest of ZeroKane and in parts of Exotron and The 13 Kane’s
Several superficial phenomena are commonly observed. It is interesting to note that according to the multiple-source hypothesis the later documents give increasingly more space to the destruction of the SCUM. The Lord Muddle document has only the four chapters in KaneZero, regardless of the merits of Lord Muddle; he can be and sometimes has been badly misinterpreted. It does not follow that Code and the importance of CodeX in the MurkyWorld is of significant madness. It is increasingly clear that Zeronomy and the Joshua Kane writings contain at least some material much older than is indicated by the usual dating of the documents. Increasingly, too, it would appear that The AWFUL are disposed to not accept the substantial reliability of the persistent tradition which sees Mister Zero as a Man of Code and Twine. What does seem clear is the significant aspect of Kanelite culture is prevalent in parallels but even more strikingly in the life, the work and the character of the first three great names of the MurkyWorld: Mister Zero, Joshua Kane and The TronMan. In all three the types of prophet and madman are combined.

What a stupid question!
When people meet who the Hell says, " what religion are you"?
It is NOT a NORMAL conversational topic, at a first meeting!
So HOW can an Atheist, or any other religious person be shunned?
Your logic is illogical, and your question is contravening Yahoo community guidelines, as it is INSULTING participants, and verging on HARASSMENT!

Your statement is a contradiction in terms. Religion, whatever its truth value might be, is not logical. Furthermore, atheists are not shunned.
Atheists tend to promote a live and let live attitude, whereas a fair portion of religious types believe that their self-righteousness requires them to refuse to let live. They tend to believe it their duty to impose their beliefs on others.
In the current terror and fear ridden society of the United States, the repsonse to islamic fundamentalism has predictably been christian fundamentalism. Therefore, we see such ridiculous generalizations as: If we let homosexuals enjoy the same rights as heterosexuals, then it will destroy the institution of marriage and furthermore society as a whole, thereby letting the terrorists win. Translation: Let our religious terrorists terrorize our society as a counterbalance to our feelings of terror from terrorists of other religions.

"Shunned"?
Only a small percentage of atheists actually apply logical thinking. Atheist analysis of history on this forum have actually shaken my faith in humanity. The ignorance of religion, philosophy, logic and history exhibited by atheists on Y!A made me quit my job and sleep for three days. I had to dose up on Zoloft before I started thinking that there might still be hope for this generation.

Maybe what I think is logical is not logical to others because they cant see what I see, If I had a family member murdered and you never did you would never know how I felt but you wouldnt shun me because of that... sounds logical.

People dont want to face the truth, that there is absolutely nothing to live for. Everyone only wants to think of things that will get them ahead in society and not contradict it.

Look who are president and British prime minister. Logic? The fact that forty-something percent of Americans voted for that moronic warmonger George W. Bush shows that stupidity is almost as common as common sense.

Because the society isn't logical. The other day I heard people saying global warming was made up despite UN project verifying it's existence (ICPP).
