There is no solid "establishment" of the Jewish Religion. Even their name, "Jew," from the word "Judaism" is questionable. The Jews claim that they could prove their ancestry back to Abraham, and even right on back through Noah to Adam. That was before the destruction of the first Temple in Jerusalem, when their records of ancestry were supposedly destroyed. That is the temple that they claim king Solomon built, as it was recorded in the Bible.

Unfortunately, there are no remains of the temple. In fact, there are no remains of any temple on the Temple Mount of Jerusalem.

The Jewish people were allowed to return to Jerusalem after being scattered, by a fellow named "Cyrus the Great," who claimed he was the "king of the world." The Jews don't care that he was killed before he ever became king of even the land which is now called the Middle East. They actually consider him to be one of their Messiahs, in spite of his death during a battle to conquer more territory.

It was that event though, that led those people to stop calling themselves "Israelites," and start calling themselves "Jews." That's because one of the prophecies of the Messiah is that he would build Jerusalem after it was destroyed. The people of the "house of Judah" were the ones who rightfully owned Jerusalem, so they naturally assumed that they were the "house of Judah."

As history clearly shows us though, Cyrus the Great died and the Jews didn't get to maintain possession of their "promised land" for very long. So he wasn't the Messiah, after all.

It turns out that the Jews themselves founded their form of Judaism, by trying to be people that they weren't. They wanted their king Cyrus so bad, that they ignored some things that should have been telling them that "Cyrus the Great" couldn't have been a Messiah, as previously mentioned. Cyrus the Messiah was supposed to conquer all the kings of the earth, with the help of God. It simply hasn't happened yet.

But guess what? We now have some indication of who the true "house of Judah" really is. They are the people who wouldn't allow themselves to be driven away from their land. They maintained possession of it through all the conquests for it. We now call those people "Muslims." They are the ones who were in control of Jerusalem when the predicted 65 year seize of Jerusalem occured. That was in 1948.

Regards,

Chris

It started with Abraham who worshiped a God with no name. Them came Moses who was given commandments to live by from God, along with the first religious ritual (Pasach or Passover) and the start of their year dating system (which is closet to 5800 years by todays standards -- to to a Jewish or Hebrew newspaper it has the current Hebrew date and the current Modern date), the concept of leaving a mark on their door to identify them as the Chosen of God.

From here stories were passed down from Abraham and Moses and others until at a future time there were written into a scroll called the Tanahkah which contains the Torah or original stories of the History of the JEwish people and God.

God gave Moses other laws to remeber verbally.

Learned or educated elders or wise men (Rabbis) then built upon this foundation to make the modern Jewish religion which is splintered into 3-6 different sects from liberal Reformsit to Conservatives in several sects.

Abram was the Patriarch of the Jewish people. Of his sons were Isaac and Isaac begat Jacob. Through this lineage the messiah would come. The God that they worshipped YHWH gave them laws to follow to prove their obediance. When Moses came upon the scene to be the Old Testament Savior, YHWH gave the people a new set of Laws and Commandments to follow. It's all in the Bible. The founder of Judaism is YHWH. The Transliteration of Jehovah. Which is Jesus Christ! God reveals Himself to us through The Bible.

Moses was the founder of Judaism. He reminded the Hebrews that there was only one God and gave them the ten commandments.

There is another name for Abraham's religion. He has a book of his own and everything. According to Islam, the founder of the Jewish religion is Moses himself. There are 5 major Prophets. Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Mohammad. Each have their religion and their own holy book.

Moses, the Egyptian priest of Aten, who like his pharoah believed in one god before the Jews embraced that idea. After the downfall of Akhenaton, Moses influenced the Jews to accept the idea of one god. Instead of the sun god of Egypt, however, Jews selected one of their other gods to be supreme: Yahweh, the god of storms and fire.
