I need help bad. I am so scared right now. This morning I was sitting on the couch with my 2 month old Min Pin in my lap, just relaxing watching Tv. Then my min pin ( Ginger is her name) started gagging then she threw up all over my house robe. But thats not the scary part. I looked at her throw up because I had to get it off, and saw something that looked like a strand of spaghetti and then it started to twirl. I got so scared. I knew it was some type of worm, but I do not know what kind. Also what should I do for My pup. I know I should have already taken her to the vet to get wormed.. But after today I will never be late on doing that again.. Also can My family and I catch this? Serious answers only,, I need help now, It is Sunday and The vet is not there. Thankyou for your help.

Round worms. Take the dog to the vet and have it wormed tomorrow. Most dogs have worms at some point in their lives, it is not a big deal unless it goes un-checked. Don't worry worms are not usually a problem between dogs and humans, just remember to practice good hygiene.

It's roundworms. Most puppies get this from just walking on the ground. If there was only one then it shouldn't be a too severe case but you still want to get him treated quickly. Roundworm is very common and you can buy over the counter treatments at any pet strore, target, walmart, wherever. I would suggest you pick some up asap and be prepared to take your puppy out on frequent potty trips. I would also suggest you put the feces in a plastic bag afterwards a some worms may survive and could reproduce in the ground and your pup could become infected again. This won't entirely prevent it but it decreases the odds of it happening again. They can be passed to humans but I wouldn't be too concerned unless you show symptoms. To decrease this likelyhood you can spray the bottoms of your shoes with bleach water upon entering the house and mop all floors with bleach to kill any larvae worms searching for a host. In the case or roundworms a vet is normally not needed but if the over the counter treatments do not seem to work a vet visit may be required.

Sounds like a round worm. Don't worry she should be ok today. But get her to the vet tommorow. She may not be very playful today but that is normal when a pup has worms. She also may not eat very much or even at all today. But as soon as the worms are gone she will be back to her normal self. And you or your family are in no danger of catching this. And remember her shots and worming are not a one time thing you will have to keep them up to date. Worming for a puppy will have to be done every so many weeks 4-6-8 ect. And then you will have to keep it up. Your vet. will tell you more.

If he's pukin them its got to be a roundworm. Read below.
ROUNDWORMS (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina) are the most common type of worm to infect the animal kingdom. These worms are usually 2 – 4 inches long, tan or white “spaghetti-like” creatures with tapered ends. If a roundworm burden is heavy, a dog may vomit these worms or pass them (whole) in the stool. Roundworms can cause vomiting and diarrhea and can have an effect on a dog’s overall general health and appearance. Puppies infected with roundworms will have a “potbellied” (bloated) look to them. Roundworms can become so numerous that they can cause an intestinal blockage and stool cannot pass. As mentioned above, roundworms are zoonotic (can be transferred to humans) and can cause an infection known as “Visceral Larva Migrans”, which may result in possible inflammation of muscle tissue and blindness. Anthelmintics (dewormers) that are frequently used to treat roundworms are pyrantel pamoate, fenbendazole and piperazine

Don't worry about the human infection. Intestinal worms usually don't transmit between human and dog. But for your pup's sake, go to see your vet ASAP.

there are a range of kinds that ensue in stool. the most common type are stated as tapeworms. they are reason by technique of fleas ingested by technique of the dogs. they are short and flat. the very perfect issue to do is taking your dogs to the vet commonly. even if it truly is a domestic dog, start up by technique of taking it for a first worming at 3 weeks. it also receives one with each and each round of domestic dog pictures starting up at 6 weeks. diverse vets have diverse view on what number set of shot and how usually. in case your dogs is grown, you want to have it on Heartworm prevention, bought out of your vet in reality. in case your dogs has no longer been on Prevention, take your dogs in for a try, which in reality takes about 10 minutes and fee about $20 (the following besides). If the try is detrimental, you are able to start with prevention. maximum heartworm prevention also treats intestinal worms (like the form you hit upon in stool). in case your dogs has them, no count number number what type, once you supply him his month-to-month prevention, which will deal with them.

i believe it's roundworm. get her to the vet tomorrow. to contract it yourself, you would have to ingest the eggs.
so keep in mind that cleaning up the mess, you must wash your hands thoroughly. and clean your robe. wash in very hot water. and clean the area thoroughly. i use a cleaner/disinfectant that is used in kennels. it's called QUATS.. you can get it at petedge.com. and maybe a local kennel can get you some. but it kills just about everything. i have 4 dogs, and that's why i use it. but get your pupy treated and get rid of it. then ask the vet about steps you can take to make sur you and your family don't get it
