I have just used Spanish paprika which has a fantastic flavour (its spelt with a U in England!) I used it for a sauce on some home made meatballs-fantastic.
The other two have to be chilli and garlic(I know garlic isnt a spice) but they taste 1st class together. ;)

Garlic .......... corriander (fresh and dried) & a good pepper.

All you need really but my spice cupboard is bursting with herbs and spices from all round the world .............. Great tip ..... buy herbs and spices in very small batches and keep out of sunlight as they tend to lose their potency if left too long .

If I want to do a quick tasty meal I sprinkle a bit of paprika onto meat before I cook it and it always tastes great. Also love chilli powder - adds a nice kick to food! Finally, Cardamon added to rice or curry while cooking is very good.
