I could give you the environmental answer but I feel you don't want that so here is why I say you should recycle...
Every day we drive around our little corner of the world (where ever that may be) and we see cans, bottles, bags, cardboard and other refuse along the streets creating unsightly blemishes with in our society. These items collect along fences and in alleys creating living spaces for rodents and other animals that potentialy carry disease. they cause a problem for our children (who only want a clean safe place to play) and they detract from the beauty of our towns... If we (you) were to recycle these Items you (we) could begin to once again have a city, state(province), country, world that is beautiful. it will take some time but i Believe that anything worth doing is worth doing right.

Everything we use takes raw materials and energy to produce. We can never recover the energy, but there is only a limited supply of raw materials.
Plastics use oil derivatives, and fossil fuels are in very short supply, so recycling will allow the preservation of at least some oil resources.
If you are talking about recycling as in re-using something (as opposed to sending it to a recycling facility) then you are also saving the energy that would be needed to recycle.

1. Recycling reduces our use of landfills and incinerators because it reduces the amount of garbage we throw away by 25-50%! That's alot of trash!
2. Recycling protects our heatlh and environment because it removes harmful substances and pollution from the waste stream, which is all of the waste or garbage in our community. Did you know that one quart of motor oil can contaminate one million gallons of water? Yikes!!!
3. Recycling conserves our natural resources because it reduces our need for raw materials. For example, if we recycle paper we don't have to cut down as many trees.
4. Recycling saves energy. When we make new paper from old paper, we use 60% less energy than making it from virgin timber.
5. Recycling saves $$$$$$$$$. We throw away 27 billion glass containers each year. Glass is 100% recyclable and can be used over and over again. The process of making new glass from old glass is very efficient and produces hardly any waste or unwanted byproducts.
(THAT's why! Now, get started quick if you haven't already.)

Because Recycling is good 4 the enviroment.
If we recycled paper then we wouldn't have to cut trees down and, trees remove carbon dioxide from the air; which helps to stop global warming and also just let us breath easier.
Also Garbage is sometimes burned releasing pollution which also causes global warming. So the less garbage the less pollution.
