Well, since joining the wrong religion could end up sending you into hell's fires, it's more about learning to live a good, rightious life in a way God would find favor with you.

No, the media controls the masses. It is self evident from all the divorced Christians (a practise opposed by Jesus) that their religion doesn't control them.

However EVERYONE seems to think a tomb of Jesus has been discovered because NBC reported it last week as did the AP and Reuters.

Everyone USED to think Pluto was a planet because some book you were given to read in school made you believe it was. Today, of course, there will be new books that will make people believe it is NOT a planet.

The MEDIA controls you.

Double Speak. Read Orwell. This month we are friends with the Red nation but not with the Green Nation.

Read Mcluen. The MESSAGE is the MEDIUM.

Once upon a time we believed Newton figured it all out with firm laws of how things were and behaved and we went about our lives in blind belief that we now knew it all, and then came Einstein and he shot all of that down because he didn't buy into what he read in college.

People, then, by and large, simply buy into things, because they are told to by what they hear and see. This pill will make you lose 50 pounds in 5 minutes. People buy into it. The Barnum effect.

The ENTIRE world bought into PLUTO WAS A PLANET through the indoctrination of Science, which has turned on itself.

There are few free thinkers in this world. The mark of a free thinker is someone who doesn't subscribe blindly to on set of facts or reality.

Hence, scientists, atheists, Jewish, Muslims, Protestants, Catholics, Republicans, Democrats, Communists, Green Peacers, PETAists are all, by their degree of subsciption, not free thinkers.

They are all indoctrianated and live their lives, to a major degree, based up the truths of their own self-accepted doctrines.

Join the religion of him which you believe in. Become his follower, do all that he commands you. I follow Jesus I don't belong to a religion, but Jesus said concerning the Pharisees;

The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses seat; all therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works; for they say and do not. Matthew 23:1-3

He that believeth on him (all other teachers) is not condemned John 3:18

I used to think that religion was to control the Masses also, until I read the words of Jesus for myself. after 2 years of reading I can still open the 4 Gospels and swear that I now see a new verse that was not there yesterday.

Read the 4 Gospels the way they are written not the way you think they should be written. Start with John 3:13-21 you will be amazed by what these verses really say, then find out why they say what they say.

The religion you join is the one you feel most confertable in believing in, you should feel good when you pray. Not presured. Next qustion: Religion in the wrong hands can controll some of the masses and end up giving that religion a bad name and shed alot of blood. Just be warry, if you feel uncomfertable with something start asking questions. Good luck!

I am a very religous cat but I have no organized affiliation because I believe that we should strive to live like Jesus, but God knows we mess up and make mistakes because we are mortal.
God being immortal, is truly the only one who has the knowledge to judge us.God is said by all to be infinite love, so to say you are going to hell for anything is ********, remember we are mortal with mortal knowledge, if a pretty girl smiles at us we get excited, we are entirely incapable of even imagagining what it is like to recieve infinite , unconditional love from the master of the universe. God by his very nature couldn't send you to suffer an eternity in hell for a mortal transgression. Remember this, God did not create organized religion, man did, I am not saying organized is bad but it may not be for everyone. What ever you decide to do, love your life and thank God for it every day,try to be good to everyone you meet and forgive, resentment wastes precious time. Good luck

You've made a point.
But the problem isn't in religion it is in people. People want to think everyone who are not in their religion will go to the hell. The aggressive religionists don't understand they are being manipulated :)
