Tiredness and / or stress can cause these muscle twitches and should settle down in time, but if it persists, best to visit you GP who can reassure or advise you on any further investigations that they think may be appropriate for you. The optician who specialises in the vision may advise you to do this also, but wont do any harm to visit them. Real nuisance though

If it is a small twitch beneath the eye that is twitching it could be due to a lack of potassium in your body which is inhibiting the electrical currents in nerve transmission, eat some bananas.

how strong are the twitches? if you try to watch it in the mirror and can hardly see the twitch when it happens i wouldnt worry about it. its probably just stress and/or lack of sleep. chill out, have a few nights of good sleep and eat proper. i've asked lots of people cos i get it all the time...sometimes it even moves to my nose! but if its anything more theres no harm in visiting your doc

Mine does that sometimes. I swear it's because of total lack of sleep. And untill I get some good rest, it keeps twitching. It's hard in today's life to get the proper amount of sleep. Mine has never done anthing to cause me harm other than really bother me. I'v never gone to the doc's for mine. But the choice is yours. I personally think it's sleep deprivation. Get some good rest and see if that helps.

No, opticians treat your eyesight. The twitching will eventually go away. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/eye-twitch/AN00880
I have always been under a lot of stress when I would have eye twitches.

honestly mind did it for a week or two and then just stopped. Its just a nerve thats being abit annoying but if you feel you need reassurance that it will go away pop into your local opticians or giveyour doctor a ring..but i don't think it's anything to worry about, sometimes it just happens for no reason...good luck x

I sometimes have a nerve which makes my eye twitch, it usually disappears after a few days, more annoying than worrying, but if you think it may be something sinister then go to your docter

u best of seeing a specialist in the hosp, i.e a n ophthalmologist. Especially if it suddenly came about. it is a form of dystonia specifically blepharospasm and is usually a results of some problem with the nerves that innervate the eyelid muscle. It is wise to get it checked out to see if there is any associated systemis neurological problems which maybe more serious.
Good luck, wink lol

It's most likely a nerve thing, and I would definitely see optician.
