That's perfectly normal, nobody is going to get hurt. All adult dogs instinctively adjust to puppies, and tolerate a lot more than they would from an adult dog. They are doing just fine, he has already accepted her as "family".

dogs are very intuitive. She knows it's just a puppy and will nurture him. What's funny is when they get older the miniature will probably be the more dominant dog. That makes for interesting table talk when this runt of a dog is bossing the big one around.

Dogs are extremely aware animals---and VERY centered on the "pack" or "family" they have---- If they are playing at all with any regularity She has accepted him into her "family" and she instinctivly KNOWS that he is not a threat ---so-- even though they may not always see things the same way and may have their disagreements and even their times of being mad at one another --- chances of them hurting one another is extremely sliim !!! They are Family !!!

She may realize she has to be gentle but I would supervise their playtimes together so hopefully I wouldn't have a big vet bill if the big dog breaks the little dog.

As long as there is no yelping or crying, don't worry about it. Miniature pinscher are a small breed of dog, and they are fragile. As long as there is no growling, yelping, snarling etc..Don't worry about it and just watch them closely.

no, you have to separate them or you will have a dead or damaged dog..it will happen in just a flash and then you will have to bury your mistake
