In theory yes however although the dog food companies employ people to test the dog food for money .
The people do have to sign a disclaimer in case it makes them ill.
Plus the hygiene in the sample food is a lot higher than in general production.
So My answer has to be NO

Weird. I've never heard that. I ate dogfood when I was little, constantly, my parents would get so mad. I was always playing with my puppies and dogs so I was around it. I would always crunch on it and stuff and nothing ever happened to me. But that was like a long long time ago. I mean if you eat dogfood on a daily basis like it's real human food, I guess that is bad. But if you try it, its disgusting but I don't think it will kill you.

ever since the cold war dog food and cat food has been rated to be "Technically" edible by humans.

The reason? Why nuclear fallout of course. when half the population is dead and our infrastructure is collapsed we'll need all the food we can get, and after we eat our pets, we'll need to eat thier food.

Yes. However cat food is usually better because of the high protein content. Small planes in Alaska carry cat food as emergency food supplies.

dogs are filthy animals only fit to eat from a toilet or dog bowl. try it yourself to see if dogfood is fit for human consumption i don't think it is. i used to work in a wholesalers that sold doggy treats. i asked the supplier what they were made from as they absolutlely stunk. he said 95 percent animal parts (guts) and 5 percent rusk.

Think you will find it says not for human consumption

I don't think so. If that's true, that's absolutely absurd. I've eaten two pieces of catfood before, which is like day old stale trix cereal. not fit for humans. in this case, it would be "silly human, trix are for cats."
