I'd move to England in a heartbeat. I've got friends there and I've been looking into moving whether the US is taken or not. I like the laws and I like the fact that despite their reputation of being uptight every British citizen I'm met so far has been a lot more open minded and less of a pain in the **** that the rednecks that populate the community I live in now. Now as far as the US getting taken over why would anyone bother? America's biggest threat is America and it's the one country that's being ignored. The government feels the need to save lifes in every country but this one. The send our money over seas yet do nothing for the massive homeless population that's caused mostly my Vietnam vets and people that were released from mental hospitals with schizophrenia. But I'll get down off my soapbox now and go to work.

This is an extremely difficult action to succeed at. Iraq is similar i size to CA or TX and the US military is not fully in control there. Maybe the Chinese or India could succeed because of their large military but I do not see how. The private ownership of firearms would make for a challenge. The criminal gangs would not submit to an invader either. The US is a large, diverse country and has so many roads, highways etc as to make this nearly impossible. An internal organization is more likely to succeed but with the divisions in US politics even this is not that realistic. However were i forced leave the US I would consider Mexico, Denmark or Iceland not that they are easy to immigrate to and the refugee problem would be staggering if large numbers of the US population were forced to flee the continental US.

A take over of America would be done by taking away our rights a freedoms. This is constantly being tried. A year does not go by some rep tries to take our ability to protect ourselves with weapons. I see an ad on TV that if you use a firearm you will go to prison for 10 to life. I have heard stories of people being sued and imprisoned for using self defense.
Tapping our phone calls and computer information takes away our right to freedom.
Not being able to cash a check, even a travelers check and Cashiers check takes away our freedom.
Killing Terri Shrible removed any hopes for a decent future for my disabled daughter.
We are not such a free country since the trade centers went down we have been convinced we must allow the corrupt government to protect us.
Also we have imprisoned so many of our youth for smoking pot or other drugs which in turn took there right to bare arms from them as well as their ability to vote.
Half the population can no longer vote be cause they have found in many cases trivial reasons to imprison them.
Some woman I can't remember her name lost her son in Iraqi and has been arrested while attending President Bush speech for waring a T-shirt under a blazer asking for a stop to the war. She has been arrested several times.
A Chaplain was court marshaled for saying GOD.
I know a convict that has been under the government probation/parole system for 25 years for trying to escape. He robbed a garage 25 years ago as a teen and because he has attempted to gain freedom in the only way he can think of run and hide. He has not had the right to vote or bare arms.
The people of America have got to stand up for there freedom now. Do NOT BE TERRORIZED INTO LOOSING ANY MORE FREEDOM. LETS BEGIN TO GET BACK OUR RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH, BARE ARMS, NOT TO HAVE THE PRESIDENT STARVE YOU TO DEATH IF YOU ARE DISABLED AND IN MY DAUGHTERS CASE END YOURS AND YOUR MOTHER OR CAREGIVERS HEALTH CARE.

Aas a PuertoRican i can only say that what happens to the U.S.A will happen to PuertoRico being a yankee colony , so my answer is ; I would do the same as Iam now standing up for my independence beliefs regarding PuertoRico, because no matter what country is controlling we [Puertorico] aare still a colony, something the fat Boricuas dont think about now ! yes WHERE would they go then!? Imagine if it was China that took over? Not to happen? Who can say? Is this not told in the Bible? What makes u think this is not happening now? From the inside ?

If the US was invaded and taken over I would do as the French did in WWll. I would become an insurgent and fight with my brothers and sisters to get back my freedom. The war would never be over until the invaders were kicked out.
But if I had to leave it would be to Canada where I could get people together to fight across the border.

The next does not apply. I have been here all my life. Probably Canada. England is too far away. But if the USA went, so would the world.

To answer you question as it was asked I'd move to Australia. They're just so cool!
But to answer truthfully, I wouldn't be able to move because I would have to have been killed in the fighting.

I would move to Mexico first. I've got friends there, I speak the language and there are plenty of places to hide. After that, I'm not sure. Maybe Costa Rica.
