Does anyone know what 'fossi' means? (not sure how its spelt) Someone said it to me but i dont know what it is. I think it is in patwa/patois. Thanks =)

In Italian "fossi" is the first (and also the second) singular person of present conjunctive of the verb 'essere' (to be): "che io fossi" (and "che tu fossi").

Could it be a version of français -- French? Were they asking you if you were, or could speak, French, I wonder?

The French word 'voici' means : 'here you are' or 'here we are'.
