how much do i feed my new puppy?

she is now 7 weeks and i was wondering if i need to feed her twice a day.

oh yeah she is a black lab!

Pups at that age should be feed 3 times a day. In the morning, afternoon and evening. Since I don't know what breed she is than I can't tell you the exact amount.
If she is of the larger breed then it should be 1/2 cup in the morning the same at noon and the same in the evening. Moisten the puppy food with some warm water to make the food easier for the pup to chew. Have a bowl of clear clean water right next to her feeding bowl for her to drink. Pups need lots of water.
You should keep her on this feeding schedule until she is at least 16 weeks old. If she is finishing all the food very quickly then you can start to increase the amount of food given at each feeding by a 1/4 cup.
If she is of the larger breed then a large breed puppy food is called for.
If not than just a regular puppy food is fine.
What ever you feed her stay away from Iams, much to high in protein for any pup and can cause real problems in their growth.
The person you got the puppy from should have told you all this and more.
