okay i am 12 years old and i have had contacts for about a year or so. yesterday is when i started having trouble. here's how it went. i was riding my bike outside when suddenly my right eye started hurting. iwent inside and took that contact out there was no pain as soon as i took it out. so i washed my hands cleaned my contact and tried putting it back in. as soon as it was in hello pain! the pain is in the inner corner and top of my eye. it hurts especially when i blink. so i took the contact out for the entire day assuming my eye needed a break. i washed my face without contacts and that eye started hurting as soon as the water touched it. then today i got a new set of contacts from the box and put the right one in it still hurts! what do you think is wrong because i really need them today i have a cheer competition and i really need to see(i have no time to go to the doctors and i have no glasses)

I have been wering contacts for 11 years, I had the same problem off and on. First of all you should always carry rewettin drops they help keep yor eyes moisture when theres a lot of wind etc. The contact probably dried out and it probably causd a tear in your eye or the contact had a slight rp. It wont help to keep putting on frsh contacts u will just keep irritating it and may cause an infection such as conjunctivitis which is a pink eye. And if you goto an eye doctor they will give you medicated eye drops and tell you not to wear them until it is cleared up, so then you will have to wear your glasses, its happened to me a couple of times also. You can try to wear them if you can stand the pain and watery eyes but it wont be good for your eyes. Just make sure you have your cleaning solution and case. One more thing tell your eye doctor if you can have afree trial pair of another contact brand. you need to have apair of glasses handy your you should only wher your contacts 6-8 hours aday, your eyes need to breathe they dont get oxygen with contacts. Good Luck!

Most likely you scratched your cornea (the outter layer of the eye). You will need to give it time to heal.
I had something similar happen years ago when a piece of debris got into my eye. I ended up with an eye infection when I didn't keep them out that lasted 3 months.
Try to get your eye to tear. Pull down on the lid. The extra moisture will help. Keep the contact out for at least a week and visit your eye doctor to check your eye.
You should always keep a pair of glasses on hand when you wear contacts - just for ocassions like that.

First, always have a spare set of glasses around just in case this happens. If your eyesight isn't too bad I suggest cheering without them in. My script is -6. That is comparable to about 20/500. That means if it's 20 feet away it looks like it's 500 feet away. I wouldn't drive without them in, but have been known to walk around the office without my contacts in and got around just fine. You need to give your eyes a rest. They need to breath.

2.25 is really not that bad. You really should take the lens' out. It's healthier for your eye. It's just for a little bit, cheering. Or maybe you can not go today because of it, depending on how extreme your cheering is.

you may have a tear on your cornea, the white part of your eye. that is a frequent complication of wearing contacts. i was going to say maybe your contact tore and you didnt realize it but you stated that you wore a fresh pair and the pain persisted. most probably you just have a minor eye infection and that resulted in a tear or a scratch in your eye. when you wear your contacts, it hurts because your body recognizes that as a foreign body. i would suggest you visit your doctor. hope i helped! =)

try getting some eye drops and perhaps taking naps to rest ur eyes!
also check ur lenses, sometimes a chip or a tear in it can hurt ur eye! best of luck for ur eyes and the cheer competition!
