hmmm...Are they crazy, or real?

I don't think parents hate computers so much as they fear the risk involved in their misuse, both on the net and off. There or so many dangers on-line and even if your just playing games off-line the computer seems to have the ability to suck you in and keep you isolated for so many hours we parents begin to worry about you younge people wasting your youth staring at a glowing box. ( Its kind of like what our parents thought about T.V. back in the day.)

SOme parents don't know anything about the computer but hear alot of "bad things" come from it. Ppl meeting strangers or giving information to others over the internet...can be quite dangerous., so they worry* They're not "crazy" ...they just don't like what they've heard on the news and from others who have kids and have computers.

I dont thank all parents hated computers. I love computers, and i have 4 teen ages, that love the same thing too. We shared email together, we chat sometimes. I even bought for them their own personnel computers for each of them. so not all parents do hate computers.

I am a mom of three adults and I love computers and technology. Maybe the parents that hate them are just "afraid" of them because they don't know enough about them. Maybe you can show them some of the things they can do with a computer and they will be more open minded about them.Good-luck.

I hate computers for my kids because they are not balanced...... they just stay on it way too long and don't want to clean their rooms.
