Dating Tips For First Date at the Movies: Pick a good movie. First date movies should not be overly sentimental or emotional. Save the sappy tearjerkers or obvious chick-flicks for later in your relationship. Good first date movies are ones that have broad appeal and are not necessarily very deep. Look to comedies or action movies that are fun to watch but don't make you uncomfortable with the subject matter. Movies with sex scenes or those about relationships can be a bit awkward on the first date. Share snacks. Sharing a tub of popcorn or a box of Junior Mints can be a way to connect on a first date, and lends a little bit of intimacy to an otherwise public affair. Offer to pick up the tab on snacks if your date bought the tickets, and use the experience of sharing a snack to learn a little bit about your date's likes and dislikes. Your preferred movie snack can say a lot about your personality. I have discussed more on this topic on my blog.

nothing says loving like a women who is not afraid to at least split the tab...it is not often as women think because a guy usually have a better paying job that the man is requested to pay.
but most men like to see the women make the effort to be fair and pay at least some of the tab..
ladies..do you have to order the most expensive thing on the menu? well, fair is fair..
someday you may have a son and how would you feel about him being taken for granted?

it will be leaving the guy a good impression if on subsequent date the gal can take initiative to pay for the minor bills.
