Not asking to be offensive. I'm simply curious. Growing up, I used to hear stories about JW and their fear of Smurfs.

Hi. I can tell ya I used to watch Smurfs and I am a Witness. Now that I am older, I have noticed some qualities of the show that involve the occult. I probably wouldn't watch it now because of various paganish elements, like Papa Smurf's pentagram.

Am I afraid of the Smurfs???? No. Sorry. It is just a rumor.

There were, according to wiki, several religous groups who tried to have the show removed do to content, but even they did not seem, "Afraid" persey.

Hope this helps.

People hear or claim to hear a lot of things. Was your religion one that said that Ronald Wilson Reagan was the anti-Christ because his name had three six lettered words? According to a program on the Discover Channel, right at this moment, it looks like only the witnesses "didn't" believe this at the time.

I see that it is an old program as it doesn't mention that one of the big promoters of this was Ted Haggard.

Yes...demons reside in little blue "Smurfs". Goblins live on in the "Cabbage Patch Kids". Ghosts have taken over "Raggedy Ann" dolls. And I heard a rumor that Anna Nicole Smith will assume the identity of a "Bratz" doll. OMG!

smurfs? LOL, dont be sarcastic. There are rumors about everything that concerns truth, almost all rumors may have started out with some truth, but most become a corrupted lie.

(Acts 13:10) O man full of every sort of fraud and every sort of villainy, you son of the Devil, you enemy of everything righteous, will you not quit distorting the right ways of Jehovah?

The enemies of Jehovah's Witnesses are disgraceful in their wild slander.

(Psalm 64:6) They keep searching out unrighteous things

Jehovah's Witnesses focus on the greatness of their God Jehovah and the "good news" of the Kingdom by Christ, rather than being distracted by allegations of demon possession.

(Acts 2:21) Everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved

(Romans 10:13) Everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved
