It could just be because you associate cleaning your teeth with urinating.

I have a set bedtime routine, first I brush my teeth, then I wash my face, then I urinate. I always start to feel like I need to urinate while I am brushing my teeth. My body has just got used to this routine, and when I start brushing my teeth, it realises that its nearly time to go to the toilet!

hehe that's because your skin feels cold running water and that is like a go-ahead signal for the brain to urinate! it happens to pretty much everyone. I've come to the point that before showering, even the knowledge that i'm gonna shower makes me want to pee!! lool
so don't worry its normal :)

Like all the other answers, the first conclusion would be running water, but i would say it is a habit you have formed without realising until now?

I'm afraid i have no idea as to why this is happening. The only conclusion that i can come to is that the sound of the running water triggers some reaction in your brain and then you need to pee !!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think its the running water.. the sound of it maybe.
and the close proximity to the toilet.

i also have a strong urge to pee whenever i take a shower. even if i pee before showering i still pee in the shower. weird!

:D
