You think we are the smarty pants, well lets see, Jesus wrote 2 times & bend down 2 times to write, Does it make any didffrence what hand he wrote with, NO, But he wrote, He could have been left handed, But I preferred right handed, so Smarty pants, Do you know what he wrote, Then come back with an answer smarty pants, I can pretty much tell you what he wrote. And it had to do with so highly minded smarty pants like you that has not been weaned from their diapers.

May have been to get their attention. The whole incident had been contrived by religious leaders so that Jesus and the crowd would not have the time to think. In acting that way, Jesus was giving people a little bit of time to calm down, also getting them thinking 'what is he doing?' and expectant of his reply. Thats one theory.
It would be the hand which he would normally use, probably his right one, since most people are right-handed.

Does it really matter? It's not very important to the content of the incident but since the majority of humans are right handed the logical conclusion would be His right hand.

John 8:1-8 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in ery; and when they had set her in the midst,
4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in ery, in the very act.
5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

We do not know, but I don't know why that is important?

THE BIBLE DOES NOT REVEAL ALL GOD KNOWS BUT IT DOES REVEAL ALL GOD WANTS US TO KNOW!

If we would tell you, would you listen, or is your mind closed off to the truth also. I don't intend this to be mean spirited, because ignorance is so rampant in our society and I hope that you are not suffering from it. The answer to your question is. It doesn't matter.

He wasn't of the tribe of Benjamin, so he was right handed. Benjaminites were left handed.
