. this has happenned for the first time now...how can this b corrected...what could be wrong. ive used card reader..and also have a fire wire.please help

If your camera shows "Memory Card Full" but there are no pictures inside, you need to format the memory card.
Go to the menu option or setup option and locate format. Make sure that the card is inserted. Format the card so that the bad sectors would be removed.
If you know you have pictures but you cannot download them to the computer, try accessing the camera as an external drive. Check if the computer reads the card. If not, try a recovery program to recover the pictures from the card and re-format the card once the pictures are saved on to the computer.

Once you have all your pictures saved off, reformat the card "in the camera".
THis needs to be done regularly in the camera, not the pc.
