Under the Bush Admin, a five-year, $120-million contract was awarded to IAP Worldwide Services, which is run by Al Neffgen, a former senior Halliburton official. This company chased off over 200 Federal employees - replacing them with 50 private workers. Someone is cashing in.
This is typical for this Republican administration.

Dorentif: This article comes from the ARMY TIMES.
"The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform has subpoenaed Maj. Gen. George Weightman, who was fired as head of Walter Reed Army Medical Center, after Army officials refused to allow him to testify before the committee Monday."
Read complete coverage of the Walter Reed controversy.
"Committee Chairman Henry Waxman and subcommittee Chairman John Tierney asked Weightman to testify about an internal memo that showed privatization of services at Walter Reed could put “patient care services… at risk of mission failure.” http://www.armytimes.com/news/2007/03/Weightmansubpoena... and you don't really believe Bush actually makes decisions do you ?

ProudAmer: Great. I will follow up on your input. By the way, I did not give you a thumb's down. That may have been someone else. Granted I may have been a little unfair in my characterization. To many others and my self, Cheney is another word for Haliburton. Its hard not to see a conflict in interest.
But all that aside, things are broken and its come to light on this administration's watch. A lot of people are losing their jobs over this.

That page has gone AWOL!
404 Error: File not found
Interesting.
I hope you have other sources for your information.
PS... Try this link. And please, pay particular attention to pages 3 and 4 under 'Attrition of Skilled Workers'. Also 'Memorandum Requesting Help From MEDCOM'
http://oversight.house.gov/Documents/20070302131606-66371.pdf
I hope you pay attention to the date of which IAP actually took over. February 7, 2007. Less than one month ago.
I hope you can be objective of what you are going to read planksheer.
Lastly, this has nothing to do with Vice President Cheney. It has more to do with federal employees who got greedy and their cushy positions were being threatened so they left in mass droves in any way that was financially beneficial to them..
PSS.. Thumbs down??? *LOL* You didn't evenhave a chance to read the letter!! Oh my! You really don't want the truth to come out do you. Surprise, surprise.
PSS... I apologize Planksheer. I should not have jumped to conclusions. I am so use to people not even caring enough to want to get to the truth that I was unfair to you. I am sorry.

Retired Army, there's nothing I hate more than a worthless lazy DoD Civil Service worker. The Civil Service system is broken and corrupt. Read your link, the contract company was brought in to boost the workforce of WRAMC.
Contrary to what little liberals actually know about the DoD, contractors actually bring productivity and accountability in contrast to Civil Service.
Try taking a two hour lunch, or using every Friday as a "swing-time comp-day" when they are at their desk working, they give anybody in a green suit nothing but a bad attitude. All typical MO for a tenured Civil Servant and behavior which gets a contractor fired in a minute...

Yes, it called trickle economies, the citizens or should I say the workers of America get the crumbs that's the trickle, Then there the corporate triplenomices where some partners of the leaders get triple profits with no start up cost then back charge other services triple, so every thing is triple for them and then they have the nerve to rub it in our face and we have to take it like we do, because we don't know what else to do.

As businessmen always say, there is nothing personal to it, but business is business. The end motive is always profit, and it doesn't matter whether the company has its contract with private or public enterprises or with the military. In fact, private companies make the most profit out of military contracts.

What an absolutely stupid, unintelligent question................
Walter Reed Hospital is NOT privatized... By ANY company... It is totally under the tutelage of the Department of the Army......
I don't know what comic books you are read, but you obvious have no knowledge of what the hell you are talking about..............
BTW, just in case you can comprehend this, there is no such thing as the Cheney Administration..............................
