if you have the eczema from jewelry you can coat the inside of your rings and bracelets with clear nail polish. It seals the metal and keeps it away from your skin directly. Surgical stainless steel is another option-cheap jewelry often has a high nickel content. If the eczema is on your hands or face(earrings?) you might consider a skin sealant to guard against any metal touching your skin.

Yes, very much so. I've had eczema for 13 years, and I finally figured out why...I am allergic to Dairy. Ever since I stopped eating anything with milk in it...My itching as stopped and my legs look 90 percent better than they used to. You may have a dairy allergy.

Stop wearing the jewerly for one. You have two choices : seek out a doctor & be given a cortisone cream ointment or change your diet...& information from a nutritionalist in a Health Food store. They will tell you what to take/use to rid the eczema permantly. Cortisone ointment only works for awhile, eventually the eczema will come back...it's an allergy...I know....I used to be allergic to the metal Nickel.

I have the same problem. People may stare or joke about it (they have with me) but I have to wear all white cotton gloves, my hands are the worst. It seems that almost everything has metal in it. Try using plastic. If you experience a lot of itching on your hands try an oatmeal mixture. Take 1/4 cup of oatmeal and 2 tablespoons warm water and mix. Rub it on your hands and let it sit for 3-5 minutes. Rinse off with cool water. I use this and it does help.

You can play games. Have people guess how much skin you may lose if you touch metal. Take bets...make some money.
