Perhaps she is a little nervous of being in rooms where there is human activity? It sounds like she really wakes up at night :)
A friend may well help her! Give it a go :)

I have a cat with issues also. She stays in my room all day but comes out at night to play. Yes,she is scared but some animals are that way just like people. But no it want help to get a friend for her because it will become the dominant cat and bully the other one because it is so shy..Just love her...Thats about all you can do for her.

I think that would help a lot, especially if they are both young, they'll play together and she'll become more comfortable in other parts of the house. Aside from this, you could spend time with her in other rooms like your living room every day until she begins to like that too. She spends all her time in your room because it's comforting to her! You could try feeding her or giving her treats in other rooms to make her stay also.

You should get her a friend but then that kittie may pick up on all her bad habits and might like to stay int he bedroom all day also. or maybe the living room is haunted. You should look into cleansing your home of all spirits as cats can sense them easier than us humans.

Poor thing!
I'm not really sure. It might. But if the companion you get her proves to be a bully, it could worsen the situation too. Try finding a nice quiet kitty to be a companion to your cat.
Now, we usually leave the doors open, unless we have a reason to close them. That seems to help with our little friends.
Good luck!

well i think she is not weird at all because if you notice that ordinary cats do play at night and sleep in the morning because of noises! and maybe she is afraid of noises! so you better train her! and it is better you get her a friend that is playful in the morning!

She can smell your scent in your bedroom and is comforted by it. A friend would probably help her.
