I am unable to afford expensive veterinary care. His breathing has become increasingly worse. He is coughing up and sneezing. He is not getting better only worse. He has been in my family for seven years. I do not want to compromise his care due to wages. I have called several animal shelters. They are unable to help. I do not know this area. Will someone please tell me where I am able to go???

Sometimes if you talk to your vet and tell them the situation with money they will be able to help you out tell them that you will pay cash and they will make it easier on you so that you can pay or make small payments, I have done that in the past when I use to have to take my cats to the veternarian. Whatever you do don't go to a Animal Hospital they charge very high prices, Dog/cat clinics are usually alot cheaper than vets if your vet does not want to work with your low budget. Good Luck, hope your cat gets well.

Go to CareCredit.com and see about their loans for veterinary care. The interest rate is very low.

Try this organization. Not sure if you will qualify..but it is worth a try. They say they can refer you to a low cost vet, if they cannot actually contribute financially.

i feel sorry for that cat . and you should think of that situation before you gotten that pet if you can afford her why have one?
i have 4 cats and a dog and love them a lot one of my cat was ill and have cancer that cat had to get treatments and that cost me too for 2x the operation and chemotherapy. and my other cat have a rear feline disease and have to get medications for live for her too, i managed and i don't go to the public and begged i found a way to get money for that operations for my cats by working overtime and i don't make a lot of money but if i don't wanted and could not take care for my pets i don't need them . its just as if you have a child you think ahead what will happened if your kid get ill ,will you go on welfare and beg for money than too? , or do you go get welfare for them and relay on the hard working people in the community to pay for your kid. you better not get a kid at anytime if you not even can take care of a pet .there my pets and i do everything for them. get the thrift? you can ask People helper .com may they help you.

Please call your VET ASAP. Tell him your financial problem, offer you time to work for him to pay the bill. He might say yes. Most VET doctors are the greatest people.

Well I am not from Los Angeles but sometimes I have no money.
Take your sick cat to a vet and tell them I will pay it off each day like 25 cent.☺☻☹
