you just need a degree to be an officer in the military

It sounds like what you are wanting to take is Criminal Justice classes. There are many colleges and universities that work directly with the military to help you get these degrees. I don't know what branch you are in, but here you could just go down to the navy college office and the staff there is very helpful to members and family. I would say your career counselor would be able to help you a lot better than any of us could. They can evaluate all of your military classes, etc. to see exactly what you need to take. They pretty much take the guess work out of it for you. Good luck.

Like Manger said, spelling wouldn't hurt you and any recognized 4 year degree would be acceptable to become an officer.
