ok , please tell me what this sounds like. Dude emails me, says he pulled my resume offline, so he tells me can I work from home, I say yeah, (you know on my days off or when I get off work) ( Now tell me does this sound strange) I said doing what? (I was thinking it was that scam where they send you a check, and you cash it at your bank, you take 10 % and send them the rest) but it wasnt, he wants to send you packages, and you go to UPS and send them off, he sends you what label to put on them as well, He said he owns a store in Brooklyn, West Africa, and Berlin. I dont know it just dont add up to me and it is freakin me out, could be a terrorists, I asked him all these questions and in the end still only had what I had in the beginning. He called me, and it was "PRIVATE". Why would you rather discuss business online than the phone? That didnt make sense either, and if you have a business, why cant you send these " packages" yourselves. Im so confused, please serious help only...

Good job on picking up on the inconsistencies in his story. This is called a reshipping scam (also a postal forwarding scam). Your "boss" buys electronics and other high-priced goods with stolen credit cards and has them shipped to your address. Then you send them on... when the police come looking for the person who bought those items, they find you, not the real crook. It's not terrorists or drug running, but you can get in serious trouble for reshipping stolen property.

Contact your local police about this and explain the situation. Show them all the emails and such that he has sent. Stop answering any messages or phone calls from him (and hopefully he'll soon stop trying to get in touch)... and if you get any packages, don't open them, take them to the cops right away. You won't get in trouble if you don't send him any packages :-)

Dude I Have Been Involved In Alot Of Home Based Bussnesses And Run Into Alot Of Scam. This Is A Scam. He Is Just Looking For A Sucker. Dont Give Him Any Personal Info And Dont Send Him Anything Because He Is Lying To You. You Dont Know What In The Packages He Sends And A Legitamite Bussness Wouldnt Mind Talking To U On The Phone And They Would Tell U It Was Private. I Got In Trouble With The Department Of Homeland Securty And Customs And Border Partol For Participating Something Just Like This. So I Cant Tell U What To But I Recommend U Cut Off All Contact Immediatly

Well it depends.... Do you want to take responsibility for whats in that package? You will be the one sending who knows what into the mail system.... Run don't walk away from this person and have nothing more to do with him or any other scams like this one..... If it was legal wouldn't he do it himself and save the money???

yes it sounds like a scam to me --- the packages may be paid for with a dodgy credit card --- because they are being sent to a "local" address the company will allow it to go out ---- you readdress it to somewhere else and they get the goods and you get left with someone calling to say where is my money --- forget it --- i nearly got caught with one of these scams --- luckily it was stopped before it did any harm ---- best wishes to you

Seriously, this sounds kinda shady. You're rite, if he's runnin a legit business, why not courier the packages himself? Who knows what mite be in dese "packages" he wants you to send on his behalf. If they turn out to be somethin illegal, you're gonna get burnt, coz they'll hav ur return address on them.

My advice, stay as far away frm this as possible.

americans are always thinking its about terrorism...HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF DRUGS?? THEY COME IN LITTLE PACKAGES OFTENTIMES AND PEOPLE MAIL THEM OR SHIP THEM. THOSE PEOPLE ARE KNOWN AS DRUGRUNNERS. It's about 1,0000 X more common than terrorism.
