Jehovah's Witnesses are an international Christian denomination which originated in America with the 19th century Bible Student movement. They adopted their present name in 1931 under the leadership of Joseph Franklin Rutherford. Believing that all other religions are false, Jehovah's Witnesses reject traditional Christian doctrines such as the Trinity, eternal torment in hell and the immortality of the soul. The central theme of their preaching is God’s Kingdom (that is, God's rule over the Earth) with Jesus Christ as its king. The Witnesses believe this rule began with the Second Coming or presence of Christ. Originally, this was believed to have occurred invisibly in 1874, but this date was later revised to 1914.

Witnesses believe that their faith is the restoration of first-century Christianity. In areas where they are active, they are commonly known for their door-to-door preaching and their objection to blood transfusions, and for not celebrating birthdays or holidays. Their most widely-known publications are the religious magazines, The Watchtower and Awake!. Official membership of the organization, counted as those who preach each month, is estimated to be about 6.5 million.[1]

Other Witness teachings include the recognition and use of a personal name for God, translated as Jehovah in English, as vital for acceptable worship. They believe that Jesus' death was necessary to atone for the sin brought into the world by the first man, Adam, thus opening the way for the hope of everlasting life for mankind. It is also taught that 144,000 people will receive immortal life in heaven with Jesus Christ as co-rulers guiding the rest of humankind to perfection on a paradise earth during the 1000 year reign. More specifically, Witnesses believe that in the war of Armageddon, which they believe to be imminent, the wicked will be destroyed. The survivors of this event, along with individuals deemed worthy of resurrection, will form a new society ruled by a heavenly government and have the possibility of living forever in an earthly paradise.

The New Encyclopædia Britannica says: “Neither the word Trinity, nor the explicit doctrine as such, appears in the New Testament, nor did Jesus and his followers intend to contradict the Shema in the Old Testament: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord’ (Deut. 6:4). . . . The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies. . . . By the end of the 4th century . . . the doctrine of the Trinity took substantially the form it has maintained ever since.”—(1976), Micropædia, Vol. X, p. 126.

The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”—(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.

In The Encyclopedia Americana we read: “Christianity derived from Judaism and Judaism was strictly Unitarian [believing that God is one person]. The road which led from Jerusalem to Nicea was scarcely a straight one. Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching.”—(1956), Vol. XXVII, p. 294L.

According to the Nouveau Dictionnaire Universel, “The Platonic trinity, itself merely a rearrangement of older trinities dating back to earlier peoples, appears to be the rational philosophic trinity of attributes that gave birth to the three hypostases or divine persons taught by the Christian churches. . . . This Greek philosopher’s [Plato, fourth century B.C.E.] conception of the divine trinity . . . can be found in all the ancient [pagan] religions.”—(Paris, 1865-1870), edited by M. Lachâtre, Vol. 2, p. 1467.

John L. McKenzie, S.J., in his Dictionary of the Bible, says: “The trinity of persons within the unity of nature is defined in terms of ‘person’ and ‘nature’ which are G[ree]k philosophical terms; actually the terms do not appear in the Bible. The trinitarian definitions arose as the result of long controversies in which these terms and others such as ‘essence’ and ‘substance’ were erroneously applied to God by some theologians.”—(New York, 1965), p. 899.

nicely a similar way that we've a private call and would prefer to be referred to as via our call quite of guy, lady, Boy & so forth is a similar way that God feels. Psalms 80 3:18 says "would human beings understand which you, whose call is Jehovah,You on my own are the main severe over each and every of the earth." the certainty that his call is stated in the Bible shows God needs his call to be popular & considering the fact that we are his witnesses or followers, we are referred to as Jehovah's Witnesses.

JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES: The worldwide Chritian society of people who actively bear witness regarding Jehovah God and his purposes affectiing mankind. They base their beliefs solely on the Bible.

Jehovahs Witnesses believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Wprd of God, and istead of adhering to a creed based on human tradition, they hold to the Bible as the standard for ALL their beliefs.

They worship Jehovah as the only true God and freely speak to others about hime ans his loving purposes toward mankind.

They believe, not that Jesus Christ is part of a Trinity, but that, as the Bible says, he is the Son of God, the first of God's creations; that he had a prehuman existance and that his life was transferred from heavan to the womb of a virgin, Mary; that his perfect human life laid down in sacrifec makes possible salvation to eternal life for those who exercise faith; that Christ is actively ruling as King, with God-given authority over all the earth since 1914.

They believe that God's Kingdom is the only hope for mankind; that it is a real goverment; that it will soon destroy the present wicked system of things, including all human governments, and that it will produce a new system in which righteousness will prevail.

They believe that we are living now, since 1914, in the last days of this wicked system of things; that some who saw the events of 1914 will also see the complete destruction of the present wicked world; that lovers of righteousness will survive into a cleansed earth.

They believe that it is important to apply the counsel of God's Word in everday life now-at home, school, business, in thier congergation. Regardless of a persons past way of life, he may become one of Jehovah's Witnesses if he abandons practices condemmned by God's Word and applies its godly counsel.

I believe it because they don't believe that the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross is sufficient enough to get them into heaven. They believe that only a 144,000 will go to heaven when the Bible says it's more than any man could count. They believe it is by works that you attain the ability to go to heaven. If you really want to see their color just ask if you can pray with them. They won't pray with those outside their box.You might also look at 2 John 1:7-11 and you will see the word both. Both means 2 not just 1.Then read Gen.1:2 and you will see the Holy Ghost was there in the beginning.Twice now they have predicted the second coming of Christ. They are false prophets.
LOOKS AS IF THEY DON'T LIKE HEARING THE TRUTH ?

We live in a world of diverse religions. Personally, I don't believe in such a thing as religion, because as Jesus Christ once said, there is only a way of life. That said, I take no sides with any denomination whatsoever. But considering your question, the Jehovah's Witnesses themselves believe that they are the one true people, meaning that others are not the true followers of Christ. All "religious" denominations are guilty of pointing fingers at one another. I mean no offense.

Just because a JW gets a couple things correct, doesnt mean they have the truth.
Although i believe in the doctrine of the godhead vs the trinity as a better Truth overall, there are many things JW lack in the form of True Gospel doctrines.
True followers of Christ exist in every religion, if any of them would happend to COME to the truth, they would all reject their religion and bow down before Jesus and ask for forgiveness.

I have seen the glory of jesus christ in the vision of the SUN of Righteousness! does that make me more FULL of truth than people who have never seen jesus? I think so. seeing that many JWitnesses are only witnesses in NAME and LIPservice only.
Are there better people than i in this planet, probably. there are indeed better evangelicals and protestants and catholics who do greater deeds of preaching and Teaching congregations than I have ever done, but it doesnt make them any more correct than i. And it doesnt make me any less of a witness.

i know there is a God in heaven, I beheld a vision of His only begotten son. I walked in the spirit of that vision for almost an entire month, or maybe a little more.

I will repeat the answer that I gave, since I see no difference in your question.

I think this is because of their lack of faith in Jesus Christ as the son of God and the savior of the world. They limit Jesus to a prophet - which I think is the office that does not fit him.

He clear showed this when he responded to the Jews by saying "before Abraham was I Am." The Jews of his days correctly understood what he meant and he did not correct them. This statement among many others that he said and also the things that he did prove beyond any contradiction that Jesus Christ is more than what people want him to be - He is God himself coming in the flesh. And every spirit that denies Christ as coming in the flesh is not of God but is the Anti-Christ.

They claim there is a wide gulf between Christianity and christendom.
They choose Christianity.
They are not mainstream when it comes to subjects like hell-fire, immortal soul, trinity, hope for the future.
However, they can back-up everything they say by scriptures.
No twisting or bending ....just: There it is WRITTEN!
Most even have a sense of humor.
