check with your local SPCA, they usually do low cost spay/neuter
for very low prices. Also, have it done in the earlier in the week so u can keep an eye on them. For some reason, you need to talk to the vet, you can do so during that week. Also you need to make certain she is not in heat, if not already. You need to wait until she is not in heat.

start up with the female first in case you won't be able to arise with the money for them the two on the comparable time. each and every warmth cycle will strengthen her probabilities of countless cancers. and don't think of that a fenced in backyard will comprise her or save a male canine out. additionally, AKC registered means no longer something. They the two must be altered for no longer in simple terms their wellbeing yet to no longer convey undesirable domestic dogs into the worldwide, to quit roaming and probable being hit with the help of a vehicle (#a million reason a canine gets hit with the help of a vehicle is with the help of the fact that's un-altered), territory marking, humping of the leg, etc., etc. Get the female spayed in January and the male neutered in February!! with the help of how, the neuter on a male additionally incorporates an belly incision. So, whether the female has a extra invasive surgical treatment, the two could have incisions on their bellies.

Depends on where you are located.
Vets charge more or less depending on economic status of state/town/county.
Some vets charge more for it being a little dog also.
For my dogs ( Labs ) it cost about $125.00 each. Personally,I think that is way to much. They want us to spay and neuter but they want to charge an arm and a leg to do it.
If they want to really impact animal birth rate they need to lower price. No more than $50.00 ever.I have 4 dogs and 3 cats and they are all fixed.
I do believe in spaying/neutering your pets.

You need to check with your vet.

My vet charges around $60.00 to spay up to a 16 pound dog. I believe it may have something to do with the amount of anesthesia that is required for this size dog.

These days it can be a same day surgery, so no need for the vet to keep the dog, unless there are complications. Your girls will be happier and healthier. With spaying your females, there is no chance that either one of them will contract Pyometra. This is a uterine infection that is deadly to female dogs.

Best of luck with your babies

The cost vary from vet to vet. You could look into low cost spay/neuter in your area. Here is a link so you can get coupons for discounted spay and neuter:

Ask around local vets in your area. Females are more expensive, because it's a more complex operation. My female cost $180 to get done, but that's in Australian dollars.

I believe around 120-150 in Ontario (... you might get a deal though if your vet is doing them both at the same time.

My vet is really good for not double dinging me on vet visits when I take in both of our toy poodles. I only have to pay for the meds/tests for them and only 1 vet visit fee.

Shelters usually do it much cheaper than vets thats what I have heard. I had my dog neutered at my Vet and that was expensive, can't tell you what it cost today as I had my dog neutered over ten years ago.

Around here (midwest) it cost about 40-60 dollars

the cost is generated by weight. Poms shouldn't be that bad. But females are generally more expensive.
