No such thing. Nothing unholy in Holi. Holi is a great festival of Hindus. Hinduism is not a religion. It is custom, tradition, culture and way of Hindus lives. Hindus celebrate Holi very grandly by colouring friends and relatives, throwing coloured powder/water upon them, pulling/pushing and struggling for colouring/saving irrespective of males/females, consuming liquor or available intoxicants. Abusing each other in the worst vulgar & filthy words in the names of mothers, sisters, daughters and wives is a must in Holi, though decreasing day by day due to external influences.

Law of Karma works in any activity in a holi festival or any festival.
If somebody does unholy action(karma) one gets unholy reaction(karma phala) in holi or any festive activity. Just becasue the festival is holy, one cannnot do unholy action and get awy with it. The law of karma is infallible.
Karma=Action & Karma Phala=Reaction to Action.
If the Karma(action) is that my fingers type on the keyboard, then the Karma Phala (Reaction to my Action of typing) is appearance of alphabets, words, paragraphs on the computer screen.
Karma is as simple as that. It is not a complicated theory.
It is very much simple practical truth.
Karma is scientific, the same as the Newton's third law of motion, every action has equal and opposite reaction.Bible also says, "As you sow so shall you reap" If someone plants apple trees, one will get apple fruits.
Becasue of one's Karma only,somebody is born with diseases, poverty, foolish etc...and suffers because of that. That is the reason why somebody is born with good health, richness intelligence etc... and is happy because of that.
It is the misconception people have that God puts one in that condition. The all merciful Lord who is compassionate would be showing partiality to put somebody in misery while somebody is enjoying life happily.
Free-will is what you choose which is limited according to one's karma(action). Pious karma leads to happiness. Impious karma gives misery and suffering. Even while suffering or enjoying one can create fresh good or bad karma and consequently enjoy or suffer. Creating fresh karma is within one's free will. For instance, if one is flying in a airplane from New York to Delhi, the destination is fixed. He can do nothing about changing that karma he created which is going to Delhi. But, he exercise his free will in Airplane and execute some actions like sleeping, reading, watching movie etc. . . which in turn creates another result .
One has got free will to do any holy or unholy action in in any holy our unholy occasion. It all depends on one's free choice or will.
