Do you hate your name and why?

I hate my surname people have allways made fun and im thinking of having it changed.

I hate my first name, I always have. I think it's because every time I told people my name they usually said "That's posh", which it isn't. I hate my name.

No my name is not a problem to me, I had a nickname based on my real name and was so used to it, that if someone used my real name, I didn't notice. If you have any certificates or documents in your present name you might find it awkward if you change it, some like your drivers license are easy to change, but if you have educational qualifications you may not be able to get the name changed, I would find out if I were in your place, as you could end up having to make some use of your old name, and if you do, why change it? Most people make little use of their surname outside of official and legal stuff.

I was adopted and my birthmother gave me the name Destiny. I would never change my name. It connects me to the mother I never knew and it is a unique name. I think that you should embrace your name and see why it has meaning in your life. If people make fun of it, well then they are not worth your time.

Every name is special...I never use my real name. However the nickname Dasha always stayed with me.And i hate using my second name aswell because it is too long and straight away you can see that i am from a different country.But i think your second name sounds cool .... it has a catch ...;)

I hate my first name because it's too common and too cutesy.

I hate my middle name because it's the name of a Disney character.

I hate my last name because it's just boring.

But I am going to have my middle and last names changed, and will then refer to myself by my first and middle initials.

You shouldnt hate your surname beacuse it is your father's name.If you really hate your surname,you can have it changed by going to the lawyer.

I'm a pensioner and I have hated my forename since the day I became aware of it. It was old fashioned then and still is and I never forgave my mother for calling me that. It was her name too

When I was little I did not like my first name but now love it same when I got married did not like my married name much . Now I am divorced but I am known by this name and would not like to change it it is who I am , and I love it .
