If the recipe, like this one http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Baked-Pork-Spring-Rolls/Detail.aspx, calls for spring roll wrappers, does that imply that you should use rice paper?

I thought that spring roll wrappers were rice based, not egg based.

Thanks very much,

Av

They are similar though some wrappers are made of refined plain flour!

Not the same. You could use either though but traditionally it's the spring roll wrappers that crisp much better! The rice paper softens immediately or sticks to the bottom of the pan, they piss me off...I've tried frying them too and they just stuck to everything. Spring roll paper for the win! :) I just made Tuna spring rolls the other day, delicious!

I think you need to soak rice paper in water first don't you?
I'd just stick with spring roll wrappers personnally.
