THE QUESTION OF MINE IS ONLY THAT IF PETROL WILL OVER THEN HOW A PERSON WILL BE ABLE TO GET PRODUCTS OF PETROL.EG.COLTAR,PLASTIC ETC

Never thought of this problem this way, I was always concentrated mostly on transport problem. I think that we should make use of alternate energy sources and use petroleum only for production of plastic and similar, until we invent a substitute, that would also be more ecological.

the answer is that we cant ,when petrol is finished ,so are the products ,but there are many alternatives ,the world managed to survive before plastic,
and we got billions of tons in dumps ,all we have to do is recycle

there has been a hydrogen engine for almost a century
but they keep it a secret untill petrol runs out ,they dont want a car that runs on water before they have sqeezed the last penny out of consumerism.

but you will have to face it no petrol no synthetics ,we have to wear clothes made from marijuanna fibre ,cooten and linne ,like we used to do,which is much better any way,

and drink from glass bottles and cans
o more balloons
oh my god ,no more contraceptives
i think we are headed for trouble

That is never going to happen. Mankind, has assured us about it by making it more expensive, and making it scarce, and given us hope of another means of energy, Thank God for that. We are concentrating on Bio products, gas, cooking gas for use as substitute for petrol, diesel, and we are tapping the solar energy for such purpose.

No problem with that. now our scientists are developing a new technology namely NANOTECHNOLOGY.

This new technology will answers all these things. here we can produce the products just by interacting the input molecules like genetic engineering.

so by using the carbon, hydrogen and oxygen molecules itself we can produce the required product. only thing we have to develop a technolgy under waht cicumstance it will join to yield, petrol or plastic and so on.

sooner we will look on the prosperos of nanotechnology in all fields.

Manufacture only by-products!
Jokes apart, ..good riddance from plastic-whether there is petrol or not!
But there will be alternative arrangements very soon. We have enough of such stuff!

human intelligence is unlimited and as supreme as the nature and its resources in different forms with compatibility and inter convertability.
when petrol is exhausted, ingeuity of human brain will come out with alternate products for all kinds of application .
the only thing is how to control pilferage and black marketing which is again the brain child of human beings?

There are lot of research & development works going on if crude oil (wrongly terminated as petrol by common men) ends what will be the next alternative or how we will get products that we are presently getting from the crude oil. Crude oil is basically a mixture of hundreds of hydrocarbons, i.e., compounds with hydrogen & carbon atoms in different numbers & different configurations. Hydrogen is source of energy & therefore from crude oils we recover products like LPG, Kerosene, petrol, diesel etc. in refinery which give us energy for various applications. Similarly as it is hydrocarbon mixture with different chain length & configuration, different other useful products of our everyday use is also derived from crude oils in refinery as well as in petrochemical industries, e.g., tar, plastic etc.

Now if crude oil ends, we will have to take energy from other sources. Sun is the biggest source of energy, therefore solar energy may be one of the alternatives. Already solar heaters, boilers are being of common use. Wind may be another alternative source for energy. Presently electricity is being derived from wind in many countries including India. Hydrogen directly can be used after manufacturing it from water, which is abundant, two third of the planet earth. Car driven by hydrogen are already in use. Some energy source are also being produced in some plants. Like bio-diesel from jetrova, neem etc. already in use in many countries. In addition we have lot of stocks of coal in the earth (more than 100 years would run) to continue some around 50 years more as source of energy even after crude oil ends. There is also natural gas stock which is much more than that of crude & we can continue with that also some years as a source of energy. We have also some stocks of uranium through which we are using nuclear energy for running power plants etc. In the near future it is expected that there would be more development in alternate energy sources to lower down the dependency on crude oil for energy purposes.

Next, for products like tar, plastics etc. we may be first depended on coal, natural gas etc. for source of carbon till these sources last. But later on we must depend on the plants directly. However, there may be more discovery later where plastic, tar etc.may be replaced by other new products, without requirement of petroproducts at all, which are highly pollutant.

Thus there would be alternatives even after crude oil ends.
