We are singles in our thirties. My love interest just told me she has a child. I don't know how to handle this. What do I say to her? Should I meet the child?

love her....love her child...they are a package deal....before you meet the child..you better decide if you want a child to be a part of your life....good luck

It's just a part of life. Remember though, if she has a child it's a package deal. You can't have her without it. You could ask her questions about her child, take an interest. I think she'll decide when and if she wants you to meet her child.

You have to accept the fact that she has a child, there is nothing you can do.
If you really like this woman, you will make an effort to get along with the child and include him/her.

Are you serious about this woman? If you are then you need to meet the child and get ready to have the child as part of your life. If you want to be with this woman, she is not gonna get rid of her child for you so you need to decide if you want the package deal or if you want to move on. You should make that decission at least partially before you meet the child because the woman would be right not to bring you into the childs life if there was not ever the expectation that you will remain in the child's life so you need to decide how you feel about it and do it quick.

yes,you should meet the child...if you plan to pursue this interest.i suggest that you do your best to befriend this child and become a part of his life.if you do not,you will find yourself outside the life of your love interest

Do you want to be with this woman or are you just trying to get some? If you want this person to be a part of your life, you are going to have to accept her child(ren).

If you dont mind marrying or dating someone who has a kid, and knowing that her ex husband will always be in your life because of visitation rights, and if your okay with it, then yes meet her kid! BUT if you cant handle it, then dont bother.
