I hear "malista" the first "a" is like in "car" and I don't know what it means.

Malista is the polite word for Yes.
After 5 years if Greek classes when I was a child, I learned this from a very persistent teacher.

it simply means, "Cool." or "Fair Enough". A synonym could be Endaxi. It mean ok.
