actually it was lead poisoning and it was rampant
they would ferment their wine in vats of lead
the classic example of this was Nero.

Considering the fact that the recorded words of Jesus were lucid and there is no evidence to suggest He was ill, I'd say it wouldn't make any difference to my beliefs.
