well it would depend on how good i knew him. I'm not going to the coffee place and talk to a complete stranger, b/c I wouldn't have anything to talk about. But that's just me. It would be more comfortable if I went to a bar and had a few drinks to loosen up.

No I think it's brilliant. I've told my son to do that when he asks a girl out for the first time.Anyone who wants you to do more than that obviously has other ideas in mind.I'd call that a high maintenance type and it's best to avoid them unless you like that sort of thing.Getting together over a cup of coffee can help you both decide if you'll want to spend more time together in the future.

What's lame about that? Getting to know each other is the point of any date. It doesn't matter what you do on the date. Just have fun! Good luck!

I would rather do that, actually. It's a lot more laid-back than dinner, and more interesting than a movie. Coffee shops seem to encourage deep conversation, which I definitely like.

It will have to be something other than coffee i don't drink the stuff, so a herbal tea would be sufficient, along with intelligent, and stimulating conversing
