I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I am proud of Him. As to pride that I stand for Him, no because He is the reason I can stand for Him, it has nothing to do with me.

Neither ashamed, nor "proud" so to speak, but count it as blessed. I am proud nonetheless of Jesus.
Matthew 5: 10 "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

Christ doesn't need people to "stand up for him"

Many people believe Christ lived his life as an example of Love, Charity and Forgiveness.

I happen to not believe that God had him tortured and murdered here on earth so we wouldn't need to make animal sacrifices any longer.

"I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead." Philippians 3:11. It is an honour to share in His sufferings in whatever way we are called upon to do.

Ashamed? The only shame is in the fact that a sinless man had to die for MY sins.

Luke 12:8-10
"I tell you, whoever acknowledges Me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God. But he who disowns Me before men will be disowned before the angels of God. And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven."

I am a Christian and i live in the Seychelles. i get laughed at the way i dress and the way i behave. they say i am retarded and they tease me when i go to church. honestly, it hurts me when i hear them say such things, but i think of Jesus on the cross -- bleeding and being scoffed at.
i just feel comforted and i keep going on. You know, someday they'll see me rising up in glory and they would have wished to be like me!!!

Honestly, people don't make fun of me for that.

They make fun of me for being an idiot (which I often am). I get over it.
