I've failed to graduate from my previous university now i would like to join a new university and graduate, my father claims he does not have money to spend on my studies anymore. But I'm sure if he can spend money on me this time i WILL make it and i have a very bright future. Please tell me how to convince him so that I may receive help from him for my studies. Thanks.

Apply for a Government grant. it may depend on the grades you got.or enroll in night school.if your father can't help you and you are determined to pass this time, get a job to support your claims, if you make a real effort and prove to him that you are contributing as well, he may see that you are serious, but you must first put in the effort and try to pass the grades required. good luck.

Sorry, you blew it. I don't think you should try to convince him at this point, and if you do somehow convince him, then he isn't very bright. You obviously had your chance. That was a big thing to gamble with, wasn't it. Please leave him alone - at least respect him that much. You can find your own way to graduate, that is IF you are sincere and that is really what you want to do. When there is a will, there is a way.

I suggest that you stop wasting more time trying to convince your father to pay for your education at this point.
You're certainly old enough to take over that responsibility for yourself. Too bad you somehow didn't appreciate his generousity the first "go round".

Get a job, get a loan if that's what it takes or take one class per semester if that's what it takes. If you really want to go back to school, you will....and you'll accomplish it yourself without relying on the generousity of others.....

I think that your dad thinks that you failed once that it is a waste of money sending you to another university, so i think that you will either have to pay for it yourself or try and show your father that it will not be a waste of money again.

you need to stop being a leech and stand up on your own. You got one free ride and you blew it. I do not blame your dad, you do not deserve to have him pay again. You get a job and pay for it yourself if you really want to go back to school. If you are doing the paying I bet you won't mess around this time. You are grown now, your dad did the right thing by you and you blew it big time. Now it is time for you to face the consequences and pay your own way.

to convince him... you have to TALK. Speak up your mind. Then, show an evidence or any convincing proof that you are actually gonna make it this time. Give extra efforts like helping your father to lessen his work, or take time to have an advance study.

Well, if your father is telling the truth, no amount of persuasion will convince him to finance your studies.

You should tell him that mistakes are part of life man seeks with mistakes and you should tell your father that I will prove this time successful and this is not important only for me but as well as you because I am your son. (Note: Low your voice and talk gently when you were talking to him)

All you can do is ask, and you've done that. I guess if you want to try school again, you will have to work, and go part time to get your degree. Good luck to you.
