EL TIENE= He has
pasado: el tenia= He had/ ellos tenian= they HAD.
Tiene=to have
yo tengo= I have
tu tienes=You have
el tiene=He has
nosotros tenemos=we have

it is derived from the verb TENER which means TO HAVE

Cojugation:
yo tengo = I have.
tú tienes = You have.
el/ella/usted tiene = He/she/you [formal] has. (Can also be 'it has')
nosotros tenemos = We have.
vosotros tenéis = You all have.
ellos/ellas/uds tienen = They have.
