Contact the Rescue for your area, Here is the site address for the natinal rescue http://www.bullterrierwelfare.com or if you check out this site you'll find a list of the Clubs for the breed http://www.kennels.co.uk/Terrier/Bull%20Terrier.html
It's always worth calling up a club and asking if they know of any dogs looking for homes, quite often they will know of someone who has a young dog who's breeder belonged to the club! and due to a circumstances the people who bought the dog cannot keep it! they often only want half or less what they paid to find the dog a good home.
good luck

Hi, My boyfriends friend has an english bull terrier - its huge! He has got it purely for show - not to show put because he thinks it looks cool - don't do it for this reason! They need alot of exercise otherwise become over weight easily and look horrid! Training is difficult with them too if you don't do it when they are young and stick to the rules they will take over! We have looked after his bull terrior and i tried teaching him some manners and nearly lost my hand and had my leg gone for! He barks when he wants to eat the food your cooking - jumps up at the cooker or the table- you can't push him down easily or tell him off he gets nasty here he has not been trained when he was a pup - he's out of control! If you shut him in a room which we did for about 10mins - the place was wrecked - door scratched - sofa's chewn - it doesn't take them long to wreck anything! I also read that the only way to release a bull terriers jaw when they have a hold on something is to throw cold water over them! So think before you purchase one - do you have anough time for one of these pets - the dog i am talking about could also be extreamly loving - although obviously i didnt trust him! I would suggest getting a ***** as they are smaller! Good luck - Look on Pre-loved.com

They are pretty expensive but that's because they're so much in demand at the moment. Thay can be beautiful dogs. Please don't buy one when you haven't see the mother and father as you never know what you'll end up with. if you really want one save up and buy it - I always wanted a Westie so I saved up and bought him from a reputable breeder for £450. He's the most fantastic dog I could have wished for, very well behaved and gentle with kids but a complete character! That's not just because of the parents he had and he came from a good breeder it's because of the time and effort I've spent training and socialising him to enable him to be a good dog. If you want a pedigree then save up but if not there are thousands of dogs out there just waiting to be rescued so maybe consider one?
Just remember that the money you pay for the dog is only the beginning. Think about food, toys, injections, vet bills, monthly insurane and then there's the time to play, walk, cuddle your dog as well as the agonising decision as to what you do with him/her when you go away and can't take them? I settled for a very good friend who adores my dog rather than kennels.
Good Luck!

Try this link for a rescue ebt. Scroll down until you reach "bull terrier".
They are often available in all-breed rescues too.
As others have said though - if you can't/won't pay the going rate for the dog, can/will you pay the going rate for food and vet bills?

Quite why you'd want a bull terrier is beyond me, but you can always try a breed rescue.
If you cannot afford the going rate, can you afford food, vets bills etc?

If you won't/can't afford to pay the going price for one you shouldn't get one. Dogs need a lot of time and money spent on them. You need to be prepared to pay for inoculations and vets visits as well as the right food and equipment.
