if you're a christian then killing Muslims are a past time and a hobby and often Muslims are just target practise of objects of betting in the army.

if you're a Muslim defending your family's honour, then you're a terrorist.

You strike me as the sort of person that asked this question as someone who is hmmm lacking in knowledge.

You also strike me as the type of person to be one of the first to scream and shout FOR the soldiers if ever a time was needed and god forbid a leader of your country was like Sadman Hussein.

You have no sense of what patriotic feeling you get for serving your country through the good times or the bad.

I suggest you stop playing with barbie, get out of the shops, malls beauty parlour. Then take a trip into what you airhead probably call geek area, Oh by the way library is not a swear word. Go over to the history section and start there. Once finished move over to the Military section and read books (lots of words on paper some may even have pictures) about soldiers accounts of conflict or wars they have been involved in. Finally leave the building and go look at the flag of your country and try to remember what it stands for, because its not just cloth with pretty colours that flaps in the wind.

I served 6 years, fought in Nam, not without my own doubts at the time, but did my duty, I am glad we were able to rid the world of Saddam and make an example of him, I'm not happy that circumstances have allowed theis debacle to develope in Iraq and the extreme consequences I see forthcoming, but I am grateful for every one of our people over there trying their damndest to make a cake out of ****. They work hard every day in constant peril and in constant discomfort, and you, who are safe due to the sacrifices of many others before, should be ashamed to have asked such a question.
There is a large difference between a terrorist killing innoceent civilians on purpose and as their original target and someone in the military accidentally killing a civilian while trying to kill an armed enemy. If you cannot discern the difference then you need to take a course in logic. Alomost any decent army teaches its members about 'purity of arms'. This includes instruction about how to not kill civilians, how to determine who is the enemy, how to select which weapons to use in differring situations, etc. By and large the West has always been a proponent of this and its armies very successful in waging war according to this standard. The Islamic terrorists are the antithesis of this and try to kill civilians while avoiding military targets. I hope you are only 10-11 years old and have been listening to the wrong type prooganda!
People like you make me sick

I'm proud to be in the Army and proud that I served in Iraq. See, yes, if someone drops a bomb on us, it is a terrorist attack. We don't go around bombing people for free. And if our bombs kill civilians, it's not intentional. Thats where insugents hide. We try and warn them ahead of time, but if not, hey it's war. It happens. Nobody ever said it's glamorous. You'll never know that unless you serve and go over there yourself.

Wow! I'm almost at a loss for words at your stupidity. The US and England are going after combatants, but, as in all wars, there are casualties of a civilian nature, there always has been. The civilian casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan are being caused primarily by insurgents against their own people. I know, I've been there, I've worked with the Iraqi police and seen it with my own mind. And, I'm assuming you are talking about 9/11, but they deliberately flew the planes with the intent to kill civilians. The US and England do all they can to keep collateral damage to a minimum. Wow!

that is not like that, English nor Americans are not oppressing their people, they have no need of other country for help. if they are bombed just of because, somebody is provoking an open war.
Iraq had a leader that was keeping the richness of the country for himself, people where mad. the militars whet to put order, and caught Saddam. but now there is an internal issue on who takes the power. like always, more of the same
And yes militars should be proud

I'm VERY proud to be in the military.

Let's talk about that bomb thing....

When terrorists use bombs on civilian areas to kill civilians, that's a terrorist act. When the military uses a bomb, it's on a military target to kill a military target.

Besides, that part of this war is over and we haven't had to do that since. Now, terrorists are killing civilians, not military.

You are completely wrong.

why would you ask that?

where are you from?

people are proud to be in the US Armed Forces for many reasons. I'm joining the Air Force after I graduate high school in May, and I am enlisting, because I have this passion to serve my country.

Soldiers don't intentionally kill anyone who isn't trying to kill them. I served in the Army for 8 years and was proud to do it. Your freedom was won by soldiers and is defended by soldiers. Soldiers don't always agree with the mission they are assigned, but they swore an oath to follow the orders of the president. So criticize that moron, not the soldiers.

Retired Army been to Iraq three times. Your question is an indicator of how little the left really does know about what's going on in the world today...

The left is so inept when it comes to security that they use ideology such as yours to justify ignoring the problem...
