A program you installed is corrupted or missing files, so when it tries to load up you are getting this message - First go to Start/ control panel/ add remove programs/ uninstall anything that refers to newdot - No luck then Go to C:/ - Program files, and look for a folder with something with newdot ---- something like that and manually delete it - Also you can go to www.zdnet.com go to downloads and download a program called registry cleaner which will remove any invalid registry entries ---- this should fix your problem

you are missing a registry key for a program you are running. without the registry key, the program will not work properly.

solution:
find the full path of the registry key (the .dll file)
(example: C:\Program Files\DivX\DivX Codec\DivXDRA1336.dll)
then, go to http://www.dlldump.com/ and search up the missing .dll file.
once you've found the file, download it and cut/paste it to it's specified location.
(example: for C:\Program Files\DivX\DivX Codec\DivXDRA1336.dll, DivXDRA1336.dll is missing. what I did is paste the downloaded DivXDRA1336.dll file from dlldump.com to C:\Program Files\DivX\DivX Codec)
